Cleaned up the old Hondo Hummingbird, new strings, plays like a charm. Had a lot of hands on it in the last month. she hit a few jams and needed a cleaning. what a difference.

Good idea badeye,I may do that too my yamaha soon it sounds dull so I know I amready for strings.
Better than a freshly-washed car! I enjoy the process if cleaning and re-stringing.
That's great Badeye! Wish my renovation went as well... I put some 'new' strings on my guitar but they sound terrible and I'm afraid it affected my action. Anybody know if that's possible that it could have raised my strings? I changed then one at a time...

If you put a heavier gauge string on it, the increased tension may have increased the bow in the neck.
Thanks so much! I think that's my problem.
Got new strings. Size 11s. So much better! Haha, what a difference!
