Topic: Track Around The World?

Have an idea. LMK if you are interested.

1. I'll put up a poll somewhere. (we can't poll on this platform can we?) Participants will nominate and we will vote upon a cover tune for the group to play.
2. Someone will lay down a track and email that track to the next guy.
3. Next guy will lay down a track over guy #1's track.
4. Repeat until everyone is involved.
5. End result = collectively created song.

We'd need to set up a few ground rules (eg no dumping previous tracks) and it might sound like crap but I think it might be another fun Chordian project.

Sounds like a big project Baldy. What format would this be in ? Not everyone has recording equipment.

Sounds like a great idea, but I haven't yet learned how to do tracks.  Or could I post my portion of the song on YouTube and someone else add it to the track?  I'm new to this, but sounds like fun.

So we're talking about each doing a segment of the same song and passing it on to be strung together with the next one?  Like the Stand By Me ?  I'm all for for it.  You guys are forcing me to trip to the next level.  I'm all for it, if I have some help, of course and it sounds like you, BGD are willing to get me started.  Lets roll.  Let me know what the first step is.

I think layering is a good idea.   That way the song would have some cohesiveness to it.  I just picked up a Korg nanoPad MIDI drum pad, so I'm itching to use it.  smile
