Topic: favorite music links and sites

Since I'm still laid up and bored I started going through my bookmarks and thought I'd share some of my favorites with everyone. Some of these I've posted before but never all in one spot. These cover a lot of different types of music along with instructional sites, backing tracks and more. Ones that aren't self explanitory I've added a note explaining what they are. So here we go in no particular order    www.guitarbackingtrack.com      www.looknohands.com  (chords and scales)  www.metrolyrics.com    www.guitartricks.com  (lessons)   www.lennonchords.info                           www.midi-tab.com  (backing tracks)   www.yourchords.com (similar to Chordie)    www.e-chords.com   www.slide.neonblade com        www.mediawebsource.com (tons of music related information)  www.southernrock.110mb.com (lots of southern rock tabs)   www.classic-country-song-lyrics.com    www.bossus.com  (pedal settings for a variety of songs)  and www.kristinhall.org  The fabulous songbook loads of songs of all types from kid songs to grunge . You may have to physically type some of these in as it seems that they aren't being recognized as a web site. Hope everyone enjoys these and finds them useful.   Later Butch

Some good stuff there and an excellent idea Butch.  Here are a few of mine.  I hope I don't duplicate any.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: favorite music links and sites

Do you belong to e-chords?  It looks interesting, but I'm always hesitant to join new sites.  To get the best features on e-chords, you have to join.  Anyway, just wondering.

I like Goldhat's youtube lessons.  Terrific stuff and highly concentrated on my favorite genre of sissified 70's folk/pop.  http://www.goldhat.net/guitar_lessons.htm.

I use the classic country lyrics site too.  I can't remember if it was you or Deadstring who turned me on to it, but it's great.

This guy's singing lessons on Youtube are invaluable.  http://www.ehow.com/video_2388044_elimi … nging.html

[edit to delete Cowpie - when I went back and checked it out, it wasn't the same site and had been taken over by what appeared to be a scam site]

Some very cool stuff Pete. I forgot to add that the neonblade site is for people wanting to learn slide guitar. Maybe this topic is worthy of a stickey. How about it people, any more for the list?

Re: favorite music links and sites

We're getting some good stuff here. No Zurf I don't belong to e-chords but I've used some of the free stuff, I just kinda tossed that one in. Also that link you posted for goldhat doesn't seem to work for me. I'll have to check out those singing lessons as I can definately improve in that department.

Hey Cool smile I checked it out and it looks like a great site but I'm not too sure about some of the members hanging around the forums there.... Hmmm, Seems like a ragtag bunch IMO....lol

Re: favorite music links and sites

Pix - You've got to be careful on that site.  There's some tarheel surfing carpenter dude who's completely sold out on Yairi guitars and Jeeps who just might draw you into trouble.  His wife's a real sweetheart though, so it's all good.

Re: favorite music links and sites

I have several musical website link through which I am getting nice song. It can also provide such facility to hear this song also while they are playing on that website. So that you can hear and find out weather it is best for you or not. The musical track are organize at that website is very easily so that you can find your song easily.
