Re: cool idea

It is a cool idea.  Heat and humidity on stage will throw a guitar out of tune in no time.  Is that the same sort of thing used in the Gibson robotic guitar?

Re: cool idea

no not quite it works without motors if you google it up they most likely will have some tutorials
it seems to be less complicated which is a good thing I can look into it when I have some time smile

Re: cool idea

Interesting idea.  I see mostly professional players using them.  Not for us average folk so much

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: cool idea

We average folk are going broke topping off the tank.  Putting a $300+ addition to our guitars isn't likely.  But there's enough folks out there where this thing will be a cost or time savings to be worthwhile.  Just think of the savings that could be had from beer alone with one fewer roady.

I subscribe too Popular Science and in the June 2010 one of the top Inventions of the year was a spring tuning guitar tuner (automatic). I also think jpr guitars guitars have them( I may be wrong here).

Re: cool idea

Not gonna be much good if you have a trem. They are developing a trem system but don't have one right now. Looks like a good system though.

Re: cool idea

I cant see where a tremelo makes any difference since you bend the strings anyway and this compensates for this automatically smile

Re: cool idea

I dont understand how it works with string bending. if the point of the thing is that it keeps the strings under constant tension, how does it know to allow you to modify the tension by bending?

Re: cool idea

I think what happens is after the string has no tension from bending it returns it to the correct tension setting (just a guess) smile
