Topic: Maybe the last of the Mile-a-more's.
Well, due to the tremendious heat and lack of rain we have been thru here in the South it does not look good for Louisiana's famous Mile-a-More birds. With all the drought conditions we've been thru, lately, sighting are extremely rare and no-one that I've talked to have heard them calling at sunrise or sunset. With the fall of the year coming, along with cooler temps it should not be long until we should be seeing the massave fights heading south for the winter. I'm afraid this heat and lack of rain wasn't good for the population of Louisiana's rare Mile-a-More's. Ya'll keep a eye out, here in the south, and it you see one, let me know.
