Topic: It's a Shame
This started as a poem, and I was going to leave it like that, but this tune was in my head when I read it so I put it to this tune. It’s pretty much about heroes, and politicians, and how some of the best people end up losing their lives while other people are proude to be kicking a problem they should be fixing down the road.

30 men on a chopper
Hugging the [G]ridge flying low
[F]Done this mission countless time
How [C]many they don’t [G]know
[Am]Rocket launching terrorist
Gets [G]off a luck shot
[F]Didn’t have the time to think
Be[C]fore it all got [Em]hot and it’s a [Am]shame

People over here stateside
[G]Battling the budget
[F]Trying to get the bills paid
[C]One side wasn’t [G]budging
[Am]They were trying to make a point
[G]Trying to win the day
[F]But no rocket launchers
Were [C]pointing their [Em]way and it’s a [Am]shame

My mind’s a little muddled now
[G]Thinking ‘bout this or the other
[F]Not sure which party to vote for

Don’t want to vote for the guy I put there
