Topic: He's still gone

Some time ago I wrote a song called "Bristol Bound" about a crew of fishermen out in bad weather in an open boat heading home up the Bristol channel. This song is a kind of follow on to that one. I wrote the first line weeks ago, then the rest last Saturday. The chords and melody came Tuesday and I've been struggling to find a second verse since. I then realised that the whole story is in the one verse (with a little instrumental piece at the end). The whole thing only lasts about 2 and a half minutes and is on Sound Click, click at the bottom.

He's Still Gone.Undefined

[D] Where's my [A] daddy?

She said, with [G] tears on her [D] cheeks.

He [D] wont be [Bm] home they said.

For [G] many a [A] week.

[Bm] She [Bm/A] watched the [Bm/Ab] tide come [Bm/G] up.

[Em] She saw the [G] autumn fall.

[D] Winters [Bm] coming soon.

[Em] And he's still [D] gone.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.
