Topic: British stratocaster. need I say more? tips plz

I lived in England for 3 years and I bought my first guitar, a blue sunburst strat. Thing is, it isn't a fender  or squire. It is(I suppose, a british brand) a "Chantry". I dont know if the voltage change from england to the USA will fry it or not, buy I'm afraid to try it out. If there's any British guitarists out there, please reply(if you know).... hmm

The voltage change would be in your amp. In England I believe that you run 50 cycle (or hertz) and probly 90 volts (120 vt is standard house voltage in the USA) (for verification since I don't have one of my nema books (national electrical manufacture assoc) here at home with me (please some one from othe otherside of the pond verify).  There are no parts that would require change in the guitar since the power source is not at the guitar but the amp.

UK mains voltage is claimed to be 240v but is generally 220v and as you say at 50 hertz.
