Topic: Removing or correcting incorrect tabs

I find an abundance of tabs posted on Chordie are either incorrect, incomplete, or a submitter's "interpretation" that has absolutely nothing to do with the original recording of a song. In all honesty, if you can't accurately enter the information, don't know the chords, omit bridges and choruses, or simply want to force feed your own "version" of a song to the guitar playing world, I recommend you get some knowledge of writing tabs before you foist your mistakes on us.

Rant over. Now, what is the best way to go about either reporting or removing incorrect tabs?

OK DrumBob.  Chordie hosts songs from other sites.  They are not kept on the Chordie site.  Yes, I have seen many that are wrong in one way or another also.  The fact is, you have to go to the original site where the songs are kept and report it to them.  I don't think Chordie can change them.  A moderator will be along shortly to better explain how it really works.  Until then, enjoy the site.

Hi DrumBob and welcome to Chordie...
As the site of Chordie is ONLY a search engine which displays chords and tabs in Chopro form as they appear on other sites the mistakes are down to the original source ie the website where they are displayed. I suggest you go the offending sites and complain to them... Not here on Chordie.

well Drum Bob we all agree the tabs are not perfect ,but without this site myself an many others would not be playing today i am self taught from this site, i just sought the good from the bad,this site is the best around so embrace it dont moan about it.                                                                                                                                      music is in all of us but only comes out in the talented few.

I make one off guitars no two are alike and make guitars better than i play them, but i have plenty of time to learn hopefully,I have sold quite a few now,and im getting known by artists which is great,makeing some real guitars now for real people. get in touch if you only want a chat.
