Topic: New guy blues

Hello: I am new to chordie and I am having a difficulty. I want to transpose a song to another key. How do I do this?
Song: Caravan in G to Key Of F.
Thank you, Tony.

Re: New guy blues

If its on Chordie there is a transpose feature on the right of the screen where the song is posted transpose it down 2 semi tones (half steps) if its not on Chordie an understanding of scales would be very helpful smile

Russel: Thanks for the info. The song I want does not have the transpose feature.  If the song is not stored on the Chordie server that feature is not available. I did it old school, by hand.  I have checked other songs and see the transpose option.
I used to play (2 life times ago) so I do know scales, although I am somewhat rusty. Thanks again for your input.
Stay loose, Tony cool

Re: New guy blues

Play all chords two frets down.

We pronounce it "Guf Coast".
Ya'll wanna go down to the Guf?

Re: New guy blues

1  4  5
G  C  D
F  Bb C

Granted B chord amnesty by King of the Mutants (Long live the king).

Re: New guy blues

...or buy yourself a digital tuner and tune your strings down one full step
Instead of the standard tuning E A D G B E,
.................drop  'em down to D G C F A  D
and play the same shapes you previously played

Give everything but up.
