Topic: Playing a song

Hi All!!!

This might belong in the electric section, feel free to move it.

Most of us here are strummers. So of course we can play and sing a song thru. I just watched a lesson vid on Rainbow in the Dark by Dio and it got me thinking. The vid is teaching lead, all the licks and riffs. My question is can you play a song the whole way thru with just a lead electric guitar? Hope that makes sense.

Sure you can.  It's called the Blues.  Dio is so crazily talented and driven to practice that I expect he can play lead and rhythm simultaneously.

hey z I do it all the time,I have to work the song some but if you do some of the lead than put in some chords it can work,first song I did this was Hotel california by the eagles.
