Trans Continental Studio Mic ?

I recently bought a mic from the advice of my friend that will be playing with me at Home County. He has a band, records in his house and plays many instruments so he knows his stuff. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this mic and if so, their thoughts on it.
The spec sheet has it as
Directional Characteristics: Uni-Directional
Frequency Response: 80-12000Hz
Impedance: 600 +- 30%
Sensitivity: -74 +-3dB
It comes with a 15'x 1/4" jack and the xyz? Adapter.

This is one of the mics he uses and says it is the same as the Sur58? I dunno...I not complaining cause the cost of the mic/cord/case was only $10.00 tax included at a nationwide store called Princess Auto. For the amount I will be using it even if it last a short time it's a deal.

Anyone else in Canada looking for a mic should check it out.
