I've been working on "Piece of Work" by Jimmy Buffett.  It's in E.  There's a B chord that doesn't sound right as a B7 and because the E is played at the 7th fret and requires both E strings to remain open to drone to get the right sound, there's no capo.  The B is coming along OK.

You could proclaim Emaj7 in it's fourth fret bar chord form to be the new banned chord? I can't stretch that one

I still use the cheater B when the B7 doesn't sound right.  It works for me.  Especially when I sing along.

After over a thousand times I've mastered the B barre chord. Barre's comming along very nicely. Open's up so many more songs.

I am glad I mastered the b chord some time ago it was hard but there were too many songsI would not be able too play ifI had not.

How will you pick someone to pass along b chord amnesty to? I am not inquiring for myself as I have already learned Bm barre and plan to work on B7 next, but I think such amnesty would be coveted by some of the newer members.
