Topic: roundneck strings

My resonator came with medium strings, but I would like heavier strings for the B and E. 14s would be great, but so far I have only seen 16s. I don't want to cause stress on the neck, and I would like to be able to play finger style.
Anyone know where complete sets of 14-56 are sold?

Re: roundneck strings

A big store like Guitar Center has stocks of single strings in most any size. You can buy single strings and mix and match.

We pronounce it "Guf Coast".
Ya'll wanna go down to the Guf?

Re: roundneck strings

I looked around as well and you are correct, 16s seem to be the bulk of what is available.  I'd think that doing the singles would get you there, but you do want to be checking how many pounds of tension it takes to get up to pitch.  Err on the safe side and tune lower and capo up rather than breaking wood!

Good Luck;
Doug
