John Doe, "The Golden State."

First off, this guy is the man, and X was the best band to ever come out of Los Angeles!

(okay, a bit biased...)

That said, i just heard John Doe's new single off his most recent solo album "A Year in the Wilderness."  Obviously this isnt very mainstream, but i heard him play it solo acoustic and i was VERY impressed, and the lyrics are beautiful.  If you can get your hands on it (Itunes has the single) give it a listen...and if you have any idea how to play it, I'd be very indebted to anyone who could help me find a link to it on the net.
