Topic: Fast and Furious

I decided to post one of my all time favorite fast playing songs by Stevie Ray Vaughan.  He was amazing.  Do you have any fast performers you like.  Post them here.

Shawn Lane. Dude was freaky fast when he wanted to be, but still highly melodic.

Never heard of Shawn Lane, but watched the vid. Did you guys see the little tail and eyes on his left hand. You have to look really close, but I would swear it was a small four legged alien disguised as his left hand. It was using it's legs to walk up and down the fretboard. Don't know how he trained it to do that but job well done.

Hah! I always thought he was a robot right up until he died.

Anyway, the dude did some amazing stuff.  He spent a lot of time in India, and fused Carnatic and western diatonic music.  Quite awseome stuff.

This is him with Jonas Hellborg (a monster in his own right) and the Vinayakram Brothers in Paris.  This DVD was my introduction to him.  I was laying in bed thinking "this guy is pretty good."  Then he did that thing with his left hand and I had to rewind it a couple of times.

I love it when a dude "goes somewhere else" when he plays. Shawn Lane was born somewhere else, and still managed to find new places to go.

This is another one I love.  Check out the bass Hellborg is playing.  The fretboard on that thing is wide enough to land aircraft on.

Wow Tommy Emmanuel was awesome. He was all over the place in that vid. Good stuff!!

Pete, you can play like Andreas. It said so right in the info under the vid. "LEARN TO PLAY LIKE THIS AND MANY OTHER STYLES FROM BASIC TO ADVANCED THROUGH VIDEO EXCHANGE LESSONS WITH ANDREAS".  I'm thinking not.
