... chick magnet 99 ford taurus...
Ok jerome it is not exactly a chickmagnet, but is a good car. I can dream!!
You're the chick magnet, Dino. The car is just icing.
2001 Ford Taurus, or as I call it, the Ubiquitaurus. 190k and still rolling. Some say a Taurus is a sign that a man has given up on his dreams. I find the comfort of the car wonderful for dreaming. I finally understand that a car is just a mode of transportation so I drive and smile as it is paid for. My wife occasionally asks me what car i would buy if I had the money. I have a difficult time answering this as I really don't know and have no desire to buy anything. I usually tell her I want a 1988 VW Scirocco or something. (I owned one when we met, cool car.) On the other hand I really don't want anything I have to work on constantly. For example I recently purchased an Apple Mac Book because I was tired of always having to "tune up" my PC just to use it. Not my hobby and life is too short. Now I open the cover and begin.
I suppose I do like to tinker with acoustic guitars but my work is simple things like strings, saddles, and maybe a truss rod adjustment.

Thanks jerome, hey nao,my 99 taurus only has 48,000 mi on it,I bought it from 80yr old lady I have a lots of miles too go, I owned onother one before this one and it really was a good car. I do not drive too much but I would like too have a new mustang. But Ido not drive enough to merit buying one.
Dang, I need to upgrade I guess, I still have to hitch up the old wagon to the Mule for a two hour ride into town for supplies. Seriously though, I don't have them now, but I use to own a 1955 Chevy Bel-Air and a 1951 Chevy truck, someone ran into my old 55 and destroyed it, I was broken hearted. My 51 Chevy truck, the motor finally went bad, I replaced it with a used one and it went bad, after that I sold it. The guy I sold it to went completely thru it inside and out. Then of course he had to drive it over to show me, needless to say I was sick, so after that I just gave it up.

Thanx Pix, I didn't initially see your post. Here's a couple pix. I rebuilt the engine last summer and only just now coming thru the tweaks....
Here's a before:
Here's the interior in fairly stock original condition.
To be honest, it's taken up a bunch of guitar time this year, but both hobbies are a blast.
Good looking torino!!!

Well what can I say jerome you got me outclassed, but at least I bought a mostly american car. I finally got to go too the driving range with my friend and did not do to great, but we are going back next weekend and he is going to bring out some left handed golf clubs to see how I do with them.
1998 Ford Explorer.118000 miles.Rusty as hell. Its been hit 4 times and it looks it.Gets me from point a to point b.It is great for hauling equipment.Every year I say it is time for a new car but winter comes and It is the best car in the world.(Especially this winter). It has never passed the state inspection the first time.It was a really nice truck when I first got it

If you're a lefty, you'll want those left handed clubs.
Hi jerome, I can play alot of sports left or right,so he seems to think I would be better left handed at golf,I was better left handed when I played baseball.I really think I am going to enjoy the game once I get some more drive and putting practice.
I hit switch when I played baseball, but am right handed generally. What hand do you write with?
I write with my left, but as I said in sports seems I can do most things with both left and right,I used to bat left and right but I had more power and a better eye with my left. I play guitar right handed though. most people do not like to sit close to me at a table as I use my left hand to eat.
Hope this link works, been having trouble with it for some reason. This is not a car I'm tinking with but got to spend part of the day riding around in it, this is me and my Wife. http://goo.gl/0yRNQ
Built my own motorcycle from junkyard scraps and ebay parts.
I don't have it anymore but it was the greatest and most rewarding undertaking I've ever tried.
I don't think I'll be doing that again though for my next bike...I just don't have the time anymore.

Detman 101 Looks like you did a good job,I love too restore old cars bikes etc. but because of a severe ankle break I can no longer stand on cement for over one half an hour. I have built 3 award winning cars.
Cam, I couldn't see the pic... Link said the google acct was inaccessible at this time.
Det, Looks like a sweet project I'd love to tackle a bike sometime... Used to build quads but have never owned a bike Maybe one day...
As an update, My '89 XJ project is pretty much finished up. I won't go into everything I've ended up doing but it's been a challenge bringing her back after sitting in a Junkyard for the past 7 years....
A little flexing (nothing big)... This was last week before I finished up the paint and added the rack.
Sweet ride.
