Topic: Record Key Chords for Songs

I have just joined this site when searching for the chords to a particular song: Silver Blue by J D Souther. I note that there are several J D Souther songs on the site, but sadly not Silver Blue. I've had a quck look at some of the JDS songs and note that they are not in the recorded keys. A bit disappointing that. If anyone wants to transpose a song into another key that's fine but: Why not log them in here in the right/recorded key? I also notice that some of them appear to have the wrong chords unless, of course, my ears are defective which is not impossible. A bit disappoining really as I had heard many people talking about this particular site. Any comments?

I believe you can adjust the key. Look to the right of the screen.

Welcome James.  Glad you found Chordie.  Chordie does not change the songs it retrieves from other sites.  It is a host for the songs and all songs are actually from other sites.  And some songs do have incorrect chords.  Meanwhile enjoy the chords here.

Thank you for you comments about Chordie.
If you feel that some of the songs from J D Souther are not on chordie perhaps you would like to add them yourself, Go to the Resources page the tab at the top of the page click then to "add songs to index" link and then type in the web addy of the song....
As to the song being in the wrong key Chordie leaves this up to the individual to decide as this can be quite easily altered as stated. Most members find this a great tool.
As already been said Chordie is a search engine only so it can only present the chords to a song as they are displayed in original link warts and all.
