Topic: Hello Chordians

Not trying to be a snob and not check in so much as of late but life is hectic, busy as all get out, yet rewarding nontheless. The addition of our 2nd,my 3rd, and final son/child has turned this musician into a daiper changin', takin' and pickin' the kids up from school, breakfast and lunch makin', book readin', piano/guitar lesson givin' happy man ( during the day at least) !!!!

My free time is few and far in between but Chordie(best site on the ding-dang net) still remains a fantastic resource for learning new material, and getting a laugh or two on the forum. Gigs are still coming in at a nice rate (averaging 5 nights a week).  'Been practicing like a madman as of late, giving and receiving lessons. Had a very fun filled day with topdown (Jeff) a few weeks ago. Don't let his modesty fool ya', dude can flat out PLAY ! Zurf and I are getting the wheels in motion for a future jam session. We'll keep y'all posted on the when and where. All the best to you all and remember an hour a day on the guitar keeps the stress monster away !!!!

Peace and Guitars,

Give everything but up.

Re: Hello Chordians

Good to hear from you.
Enjoy the little ones while you can. They don't stay that way long.

They are not little for long so make the most of this time.

Here is a favourite of mine that puts this far better than I can in words: http://www.youtube.com/user/billydean1962#p/f

Re: Hello Chordians

That sounds like a pretty happy and filled life to me Toney!  Kiss em, and enjoy each moment that you're blessed with... it's not always easy, but those sticky kisses are quite a reward!  And keep on playing of course.  smile

Art and beauty are in the eyes of the beholder.
What constitutes excellent music is in the ears of the listener.

Had the good fortune to sail with a group of American sailors in Ireland.
Sailed out of Kinsale, around Fastnet Rock then back to the South beaches for a nightly pub crawl. Our Irish tour guides knew all the best places for food, drink and music.
Garth Brooks was touring Ireland at the time. I was so surprised to sing "Low Places" and find most every Irishman in the pub knew all the lyrics and sang along with great gusto.
Talk about a good time!

We pronounce it "Guf Coast".
Ya'll wanna go down to the Guf?

Re: Hello Chordians

Sounds like life is full for you, Southpaw.  Good to hear from you.  Life is good when it is busy.

You can see all my video covers on http://www.youtube.com/bensonp1000
I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.
