Topic: End pin woes

My end pin falls out every time I take my guitar off.  Suggestions?  (I think a bigger diameter end pin is the easy solution, but have no idea if they're sold)

you can try a tooth pick or wood sliver

Re: End pin woes

I read topdown's link. Why not just glue it in place? If it were to ever break off it could be drilled out right?

Because then the end pin would be glued in and it's not supposed to be.  On an el-cheapo I'd probably have gone that route without even considering.  Not on a good guitar.

Re: End pin woes

Topdown's link describes a method to build up the thickness of the end pin with glue. Allowing the glue to dry completely before reinserting the end pin allows it to be pulled out anytime without sticking.

We pronounce it "Guf Coast".
Ya'll wanna go down to the Guf?

Re: End pin woes

I tried some Gorilla Snot (a real product name).  It seems to be working.  I'm still going to put in a pickup.  I just need to wait a little while.  Some paddling and fishing stuff had to be ordered and money is running low.  Need a little more savings to be able to put in the quality of gear that I want.
