Topic: Strum Patterns

I am new to Chordie and find it to immensely helpful to me as a relative beginner. The lyrics and chords for the guitar are great but if strum patterns suggested could also be included it would be much, much better. Everybody keep up the good work!

Re: Strum Patterns

Hi Randy and welcome to Chordie. Chordie is a search engine for other web sites. Original material is posted in the song writing section. If you go to the Acoustic section you'll see a green sticky for some strum patterns. WELCOME enjoy all the good people here

Re: Strum Patterns

Be sure to check the comments section below the song. I've added the strumming patterns in the comments to many different songs here over the years... There's a chance it could be there already. I've been slacking on it lately but will try to get back in the habit of leaving them. Just don't rely on strumming patterns too much. It's always better to learn to feel a song and work it out yourself. That said,
I think a good foundation of preset patterns is a great tool for beginners to pull from for working them out themselves....
