Topic: Charlie's song

I put this video together of one of my songs "living on the edge" and it seemed appropiate given the current situation of a self imposed meltdown of a Hollywood celebrity.

Glad I made your day!  smile  I can understand the time involved a little bit.  I make DVD's for the family every year (well, honestly I've got about 2 years that I need to work on right now) of all the pictures and short video clips of the kids I take all year long.  I try to make the music fit the pictures, edit like a mad woman to keep it interesting and not "just another boring photo album" type thing.  It generally takes me a few weeks and several hours at each sitting.  I keep thinking I'd like to make my next youtube video something kinda cool instead of just me sitting there strumming.  LOL!  I FINALLY got a new computer so I'm excited about what I can do NOW with more ram and upgraded software that's included!  I really like what you've done!  I'm curious about just ONE thing... do you video with a plain white background to make it easier to get all those background effects in there so clean???  Again, very COOL cool  and I'll even second Wayne's HOT!  hee hee

Re: Charlie's song

not a white background a green one! my latest videos require several software programs to "make the magic happen" and hours of hit and miss attempts that get deleted,I started a new video project when I compleat it I will post a detailed list of the software not all is free but the one that I had to buy is less then $25.00 I could make a tutorial but first I have to finish my latest keep you posted thanks Amy for commenting smile

Hey Russ - More of the good riff work too please...that was sweet. I can't do it but I sure do love to listen. I would love to hear what you can do with improvising on a standard blues song and then throw in some of those vid effects to support the music.

Re: Charlie's song

Jeff by standard blues do you mean the progression of chords or a particular song? the reason I ask is there are many forms of the blues BB King,John lee Hooker even Led Zepp,Leo Kottke take the blues to another dimension.I currently am impressed with the background music for the TV show "The Closer" some very nice slide guitar work (I'm steeling the licks) or should I say borrowing lol

Yep - standard blues chord progressions...no song in particular...I would say you are being inspired by the work used on "The Closer" and doing your own thing with it...  smile
