Topic: hello everyone

Hello everyone I'm new to guitar and I'm new here , Ive been trying to play Seminole wind by John Anderson and it would be a big help and much appreciated if someone could help me out with a strum pattern.

thanks

Re: hello everyone

Welcome Bigmike! I recommend searching YouTube for "Seminole Wind Acoustic Cover Song". I tried it and found several examples of the song for you to study. If you are  lucky you might find a video where someone actually shows how to play the song. Good luck.

Re: hello everyone

Welcome BigMike.  Anytime you are looking on YouTube for ways to play a song, search for that song and include the word "Lesson" in the search criteria.  There is usually someone who has posted a video on how to play a certain song.  Good luck.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: hello everyone

Also try searching using "cover" and you will get people and their guitar, much easier to follow than trying to watch professional musicians and figure out what they are doing. I have not heard that song in years but here are a couple of examples that sound pretty good.

Re: hello everyone

Hey thanks everybody youtube  is a great help.  It sounds like to me its just E G D A , DDD DU throughout the whole song , and when I get that I'll work on the intro .
