Topic: Easy songs I can try?

Okay so I havent' been playing my acoustic guitar for awhile (like about a year) so I'm way out of shape, and I was going to ask if you guys know any good songs I could try out? I'd perfer slow country(OLD COUNTRY). Like Ian Tyson, Johnny Cash, Patty Loveless, Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton. A bit of the new country would be okay, like Taylor Swift I guess, but mostly old.
Thanks!

Here's a real good site for old country tunes and chords.  Pretty easy stuff.  Good luck.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Hey JCIT - There are over 300 public song books in the absolute begineer section that are dedicated to easy songs and they are here on Chordie. I recommend you check them out and see if you find any you like.

Here is one of the public books in that section that has some of the artist you mentioned above: http://chordie.com/publicbooks.php?show … gid=322033

Re: Easy songs I can try?

just a newbie to this website and playing the guitar (acoustic).  Play in a jam group every Thursday and Friday nights at the lodge.  About 2 dozen jammers attend.  Now have been asked to play every Wednesday night at the legion hall.   Have lot to learn and will be asking for help.  LATER.   Have to go and practise for St. Patricks Day bash.  Wish me luck.  P.S.  I'm the worst in the group, so far.
