Geez, come looking for chords at chordie and only find tabs for everything.

Welcome to the chordie forum mbfrafo31. I see you've been a member for many years and really appreciate the valuable contribution of your first post.

A quick glance at the thousands of songs available at chordie should show you that 85% to 90% of the songs are offered in chord format. Many members appreciate the tabs that are also offered. Further research will show you that chordie is really just a search engine and does not host any songs, but offers chords / tabs that are available elsewhere on the net. If you find a song with chords, you are welcome to suggest adding it via the resources tab.

I suggest a user name change for you to whineybabyspewoutthemouthwithoutthinking.  Just a suggestion.

Hey Chordie
Thanks for all the Chords AND Tabs.  Sometimes I need them both and no other site offers so much for so little investment either time or money.  Cool that we get different views on here too, but really this place is where the best advice and music is found.

Upon re-reading this post, I feel like I may have been too harsh on the lad (and I can only assume the poster is a youngster). But I really can't stand folks who complain about this service THAT IS FREE! When I first began playing guitar, if I wanted to find the chords to a tune, I'd have to buy a songbook - and even then, most songs were not available. I realize times have changed and this generation demands immediate satisfaction.

Now if the OP were a little more positive, instead of posting a complaint, he could have requested the chords for whatever song he was looking for on the song request forum and multiple friendly chordie members (including myself) would have tried to help him out. As a moderator, I should be above calling names, but man..complainers really gets under my skin sometimes.

So I apologize for calling the OP a whineybabyspew.... Perhaps IwantwhatIwantandIwantitnow would be more appropriate.

Topdown I sometimes speak my mind and say exactly what I'm thinking at the moment sometimes I type it responding to a post the last time I got BBQ but in retrospect I most likely will do it again lol I enjoyed your answer we all need a good laugh now and then smile

Here let me say what he should have: When I picked up the guitar again I was thrilled that I could find a site that offered so much for free. It has made re-learning to play a real joy. I have learned more in the two months since I first started than the nine months I spent taking lessons at 13 years old.
