Topic: Hey Y'all

Just wanted to drop the forum a quick note to say hello from Las Vegas! I stumbled across Chordie just yesterday after doing some research on Guitar Control. It looked like a BS scam to me, and based upon feedback from the members here, I am confident in my assessment!

Anyway, I live in Vegas, from Chicago originally. I play mostly blues and southern rock. I have a degree in music and I love mochachinos and long walks on the beach (j/k). I look forward to contributing.

Re: Hey Y'all

Welcome to Chordie!

I get the beach reference, but what about Lake Mead?  Boating, fishin', water skiing, and something like a beach with a lot less surf and no Sharks.  Good memories of Vegas, although it's been a few years.

Re: Hey Y'all

Welcome to Chordie Bald-Dude!  Glad to see another guitar lover with a sense of humor join the site... it's a little addictive, so be careful here.  wink  Lots of good folks from all walks of live hang out here.  Never been to Vegas, but it's on my list of places to visit especially right now while we're getting buried with snow.

Ah Yes, Las Vegas; a place that has taken a few of my hard earned dollars over the years.  I have made three trips and enjoyed each of them for different reasons.  Anymore, I am a fan of going to Fremont Street and only going out to the strip for a specific reason.  I like going up and down Fremont Street from casino to casino and enjoying the sights along the street.
Welcome to Chordie!  I have found this to be an engaging site full of folks from around the world who will help and support whatever endeavor you pursue.

Hey hey!

Welcome to Chordie!
Great to have ya with us. Beaches huh...well, you've got the sand part all around you lol.
wish I would have known about you 2 years ago when I went out to Vegas for VMWorld. It would have been nice to hear some music and jam with a fellow chordian.

God bless,

Re: Hey Y'all

@Topdown it's one of those wussy coffee drinks. I was trying to be funny. Clearly that did not work. @Doug I have a spare amp on my Maxum 31' and love jamming on the lake in the summer, although before I had a bigger boat with A/C it sure got hot out there. @Bass Viking - Fremont Street is awesome. There's quite an arts district building up around there now, too. Very cool area of town.

Well everyone thanks for the warm welcome and see you in the forum!

EDIT:
Oh, what the heck - I wasn't going to make an ass out of myself until I got to know you guys and gals a bit better, but you seem like a nice enough group.

Here's a little bit of me having fun on Halloween this year.

Re: Hey Y'all

LOL... the chicken head's kinda creepy... but awesome playing!  I looked through a few other vids and found one without the chicken head... much better (and we can hear your voice better too!).  Thanks for sharing BaldGuitarDude!

Re: Hey Y'all

hi from a 47y.o newbie.i love my alt country/blues,but how can an ex punk/mod find other council estate rockers to make our own kind of english country blues(gonna copywright this term)?we have no highway 61,no route 66,(got the a1 and a66 tho')
clogs possible, strong cider optional, but love of life a must.

Re: Hey Y'all

Happy Christmas Justicebones, and a Hearty Welcome to Chordie!

From the a1 & a66 reference I will assume you are in the UK?  Hang around and you'll be hearing from a bunch of your countrymen shortly..... we seem to have a large membership there.  Include your location in your profile and I'm sure there is someone near you that would be willing and eager to meet you and possibly get together for a jam session and ????

Chordians are a friendly sort and always happy to make new friends!
