i cant read tabs only started TEACHING MYSLF GUITAR A LITTLE WHILE AGO ANY TIPS???

the capital one is the thickest string and the lower case one is the thinest. I rekon its the most stupid thing that they put it upside down it only confuses pple

Thanks Eddie, you have just switched on the light in my muzzy head !

I have been reading and taking everyones tips on board.  That is the easiest explaination ever...I now understand some of my first lessons was Tabs.

I learned "The Star of The County Down" this way !!, It still instinctively comes to me when i lift the guitar.  I will highlight and print and add to folder, for more fuzzy head days!.

it is sheet that is hard 2 read!!!

Tabs are realli easy to read once you know how to bassboy is rite sheet is hard to read

i dont agree

i can read both

its just if i read too much tab then i can sometimes get mixed up when its saying to play a C in 5th with your second finger

its just a name!

EASY???????????????????????????? I think it is worth learning to read tabs, but I think it's not that easy, maybe because I play more "riffs" and "licks" like keith richards, but a lot worse of course. For Keith it is his job, for me a hobby

I have to say i sympathise with you - I can't read tabs either.  My son can and it really annoys me so I just play the chords and sing (badly) which he can't do wink
