yeh, thanks , first heard it on mark lamal show  whilst working nights (despite it having been around for 40 years!), and I can't find the chords anywhere! I've noted Imelda May's done a copy of it(chords not available), but  prefer Sheffields' version.

Anyone with a good ear care to listen to it on you tube and throw some suggestions for chords?

I've liked this song too ever since hearing it on the Louisiana Gumbo Putumayo compilation. The guitar in the recording doesn't seem to be playing chords per se, but playing Gm and Cm a half bar each seems to fit just fine. Most of the song lies in getting the rhythm right.

Then the main guitar riff is something like:
E ---------------------------------------------
B ---------------------------------------------
G ---3-------------3--------------------------
D 5--------3----5--------3-4-5--------------
A ------5-------------5-----------------------
E ---------------------------------------------
