Topic: MMA-UFC Championship

I don't know how many MMA fans there are on here ,but the Lesnar - Velasquez fight last night was pretty brutal considering it only lasted a little over four minutes. If anyone is interested you have a short period of time to view a video of the fight at www.ewrestlingnews.com. Yes I know it says wrestling but the people that run the site also cover MMA. I don't know how long the video will be up before UFC makes them pull it so if you want to see it you better hurry. I really enjoy MMA as it is pure aggression and mayhem. (that would be my caveman side emerging) Anyhow hope some of you Chordians enjoy it

Re: MMA-UFC Championship

I don't follow it.  I used to follow boxing pretty close in my younger days.  That was brutal.

I have finally found happiness in my life.  Guitars, singing, beer and camping.  And they all intertwine wonderfully.

Re: MMA-UFC Championship

I have had the crud beat out of me on enough occasions not to enjoy seeing it beaten out of others.  I used to box, so I have no problems with what happens inside a ring.  I'll just say that I've tasted enough of my own blood not to enjoy watching fights any longer.

Re: MMA-UFC Championship

Thanks for the link bswyers. This was the kind of fight that has turned me off from MMA. I was a fan back in the early days of Shamrock and Gracie - the fighting then was much more technical and it was interesting to watch fighters of different disciplines take each other on. It was also much cheaper to watch on PPV than it is these days. From I have seen recently, the current fights are much more like WWF wrestling than they were true mixed martial arts like it was in the beginning. Street fighting instead of technical like it was back in the day.  I'd say the brutality has increased, and that is what has turned me off.
