badeye
Instrumental blues song by a really tight bar room trio.
Like the sound of a Gibson Les Paul through a Fender Twin Reverb.

How about Lindisfarne? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mGyOKr8frw
The guy playing the 12er (who I think is the late Alan Hull) reminds me of myself in my college days during the 60's although my beard was a little neater .
Roger
Eric Clapton,
Autumn Leaves.. good idea to put the link here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQlFOX0YKlQ
The autumnal leaves are whistleing around the auld sod today.
The colours are wonderful, with the weak autumnal sunshine changeing there shades as the move.
I Must remember to check if me drains have the wire grids in place Just thought of that !
Pete - Badeye= ozymandias = Toots Are any of ye any good at this sort of thing ?
I need a handy man pronto
In the meantime i'll chill here with Eric and the season changes.
Old Doll.
I'm sure we are all qualified for the job, Old Doll.

Indeed, we should pack our guitars, get a flight and go help her out. Then break out the best irish beers and whiskey's and jam away.
Sounds like a deal, if we can find Badeye and toots. Her wire grids are in place, indeed. I'll bring the wire cutters.

Be like a working vacation, and a lot of fun. If only my funds would allow it i'd be there.

That's the kind of vacation that I like. When we go on vacation to visit my in laws, my father in law knows enough to line up some chores for me to help him on. Keeps me busy and there's time enough to chill out with family and friends. That's why I got a ukulele to practice on. A lot easier to transport over a plane flight.
I always carry a tool box in my car. I rather enjoy making myself useful during a house visit. Still not too old for ladder work.
On a visit to a lady in New England I found many nails in her wooden deck standing proud. I found a hammer and nailset in my car and had fun pounding them down.

Sure would be fun to organize a Chordie convention in a rural location. I can visualize a large picker's circle around a camp fire. The beer would flow like wine.
We'll need to schedule it during one of Old Doll's trips to the U.S.A. so we could hear some real deal Irish Brogue spoken and sung.

Now that would be a hoot and a heckuva good time. I might even over come my aversion to playing in front or around others. At least as long as the beer and wine are flowing freely.
You know, we'd all be playing proudly with plenty of beer and wine. That would be a great get together indeed.
What are ye like Near busted me knickers laughing at the last few post. I reckon there'd be no grids cleared or nails hammered home.
I'd have ye plied with good ole Irish Coffees, sit back and listen to ye all. How wonderful would that be !
leave all your work tools at home laddies. I have me own toolbox .. Your wives will need the extra weight
for traveling..

Here's a do-it-yourself fixit song.
Those in Europe may not know that Home Depot and Lowes are do-it-yourself headquarters here in the U.S.
