Eight or nine years ago, CSN was coming to town. Eh, I thought. Then when I heard that Neil Young was joining them, I bought tickets. I figured, "How long can these guys last after all the abuses they've done to their bodies?" Well, I guess they had more staying power than I gave them credit for having.
Neil Young and Steven Stills playing together was amazing. They got to jamming big time on "Cinnamon Girl". David Crosby gave up. He had a stage hand bring him a stool from the acoustic set they had done and just sat on stage with his back to the audience and watched them play as if he was a part of the audience rather than a part of the band. Graham Nash hung in there on keyboards, but he was playing straight chords and keeping time. Neil Young and Steven Stills were playing intertwining solos that built off of one another and sounded so incredibly good. It was obvious that it was Woodshed time and they were just jamming. I guess playing together for forty years will do that for you.
