Topic: What about other "superseller-bands"? HOW MANY LISTS SHOULD THERE BE

THIS IS MAYBE SIMILAR THAN MY OTHER THREAD BUT IT IS DIFFERENT.
I have so many questions, even doubts about the accuracy, and last but not least DON'T FORGET TO COMPARE THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN THE USA in the 50ties versus the amount of habitants in the 90ties. If you compare the number of sold records in 1955 versus 1999 the difference would be huge. WHO CAN GIVE ME A BETTER IDEA ABOUT SOLD RECORDS IN DIFFERENT ERA'S?

I think that Elvis after he left the building sold probably more records than any other artist.
So you see, how many lists there are.
Every music respecting magazine like "Rolling Stone" and "Q" have their lists.
It's an easy difficult thread, wide open for comments and interpretations.
What about the "internet phenomenon"? There are some bands who got famous thanks to internet.

SINGLES? Sir ELTON JOHN sold approximately 40.000.000 copies of "candle in the wind" after Lady Diana's death. BING CROSBY: how many white Christmases are sold? 30.000.000, 40.000.000? I only can tell you that these 2 sold 20.000.000 copies more than Bill Haley's Rock Around the clock (REMARKABLE FACT:first recorded by Italian-American band Sonny Dae and His Knights source wikipedia, with the possibility to listen to that song).
What about the Beatles, Stones, and many other bands?
It is strange that the EAGLES sold so many records, more specific GREATEST HITS II. What about DARK SIDE OF THE MOON?
The discussions are open, let the games begin!!
