Topic: Scales!

While I'm in the posting mood... Most of the songs I play tend to use simple chords, not straying too far from 1st position & am always quite envious of players who use the full range of the fingerboard. Have read a little bit about learning scales being a good way to improve, but can't make much sense of it all. Any suggestions/websites/links would be gratefully received!
Cheers!

Re: Scales!

Can I suggest you look in at the Music Theory section. Jerome has put 'Stickys' there for major and minor scales and I am sure that he and others will be able to help with any questions you have.

Re: Scales!

Thanks for the info, everybody. Have had a brief look at Youtube & it all still seems as clear as mud! Needs some serious study time, I suppose. Also, I tend to get kicked off the computer after 30 mins or so...
Cheers!
