Topic: Different songs, different guitars?

I noticed that some songs are sounding a lot better when you play them using another guitar.

I can only compare 1 big body guitar a Gibson SJ-200, with dreadnoughts.

I noticed that when I play a song on a Martin and I play the same song on the SJ-200 that the sound is completely different.
Is it correct that an orchestra model sounding different than his dreadnought brother will sound much better playing some songs?
