Topic: Classical composers like BACH who influence some major hits
PROCOL HARUM'S leadsinger said once while performing that he wanted to thank his friend JOHAN SEBASTIAN BACH for giving him so many great songs.
I think we all know these songs:
- STREETS OF LONDON by RALPH Mc TELL
- RAIN and TEARS by APHRODITE'S CHILD
You really have to try this: 1 plays on his guitar and sings Streets of London while your friend takes his guitar too and starts to play AND sing Rain and Tears = almost perfect match, even more perfect if you have the CD with PACHELBEL'S CANON. I did this a few times and the result is amazing.
But there must be other great POP songs derived from our classic masters, I have a "black-out" here so WHO CAN GIVE MORE EXAMPLES of great songs?
