Topic: At the bottom of the hill

Another one of mine.

Sounds best in a fast rythm.

If anyone can suggest another chord pattern for the chorus that would be sweet.

Hope you like

Love The Griever x

VERSE 1

Am                                       G
When the leaves turn brown i start to feel down,

   F                                E
I Know that winters on its way.

So I wrap up tight, and follow the lamp light,
Down the road where no one goes.

I gamble my last pound, find a penny on the ground,
I put it away for a rainy day.

CHORUS

Dm                                           C
At the bottom of the hill, you can feel so low,
G                                                Am
When your down in the valley it can feel so cold

Dm                                          C
At the bottom of the hill, you can feel so low,

G                                                           D
When your standing at the crossroads and don't know where to go

VERSE 2

When you've been for a drink, but she can smell the stink,
She knows you've been out on the piss.

Well there ain't no use, trying to think of an excuse.
You ain't gonna lie your way out of this one.

She's had enough, and now she's fucking off,
I don't think your gonna see the bird again.

CHORUS
(Last line of the chorus changes each time)

.....When there ain't no one to love you, and there ain't no one to hold.

VERSE 3

When the bills roll in, and the tax man's calling
You got nowhere to hide.

Your down on your knees, and begging o please,
Please don't take me to jail.

I've got nothing left, but i've got no regrets,
I'd do it all again if i could.

CHORUS

......When there ain't no rainbow, and there ain't no gold.
