I have found Chordie very usefull TA!,but why have the same contributer posting the safe song in the same format for one song and could we have all songs done in chords AND tabs for thse of us who maybe dont do one or the other

I understand your comment. Chordie is a search engine that finds, indexes, & formats material that is already on the web. Registered chordie users can 'improve' songs in the index by editing stuff to their liking.
As to why some stuff is in chord form and other stuff is in tab format - well, that's just the way the files exist at the source where chordie finds them. Personally, I don't use tabs . . . so I look for songs that have chords.
You can narrow your searching within chordie by selecting 'show only tabs' or 'show only chords'. The default setting is 'show both chords and tabs'. Look in the upper-right corner of the pages in the search index to choose your preference.
