Topic: Sea of Heartbreak - need help with simple strumming

Hi guys!

I'm a newbie and would like to play Sea of Heartbreak, sung bu Johnny Cash and many others.

Problem is I can't find out how to strum it. I know hitting a base note etc sounds really cool, but I'm not there yet.

Could you please help me with a simple DDUUDU  or DD-UU-D- thing?

Hi Robert,

I've just had a go at this and I've been strumming:

1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &
D - D - - U D U

I also think that the B chords are supposed to be B minor.

Yes, I'm afraid you're right about the Bm - it does sound better although somewhat harder to play.

I very much appreciate you giving me the easy-to-understand notation too.

Dark sulky voice and lots of women - here I go...!   ;-)
