Topic: INSPIRED BY JCELLINI: PHOTO'S OF YOUR GUITARS

As the title suggests, thanks to all the f***g porn "lovers" we miss indeed a opportunity, to show guitars we love, use and play.
So in my answer on JCELLINI's question, suggestion it should be really great to see WHAT GUITAR, or brand you use to play.
IS THIS, completely hypothetical,
- 1) Worth to "create" a website like I used as answer, and EXAMPLE www.chordieguitarpics.com
I am not at all a PC genious, I even don't know how to make a website, but this is a real interesting idea.
- 2) I can't give an answer about how and what, also about the cost, how much money it takes to create a website like this?
- 3) I'm afraid that we re-create a new opportunity to put "NOT WANTED" material, like porn, unless there is a kind of system that recognises names, I really don't know. There are dating sites where you register, upload pictures and only 1 day later they are approved and visible. They use this method to delete inappropriate pictures.
Maybe some on line stores will help us as sponsors.
So what is your opinion of this great idea from JCELLINI ???

An easier way is for chordie members to open an account with photobucket or similar, then paste a link to it in the chordie forum.

See  my post in the show us your guitar thread for reference.  If you think it's worth doing, set up a new forum specifically for this, if you can follow my instructions, use that as a 'sticky' for others to follow.

We tried this once and got bombarded with porn spam. We couldn't ban the spammers fast enough.

Amigo SouthPaw, I always wanted to ask you: where is your nickname stands for?
I LOVE your description about being "bombarded" by SPORN (= spam+porn).
I discovered a great site: www.facebook.com having a huge success, because it is US born, we receive the info later, or not, or in specialised magazines.
They have a large site for guitars.
Should it be possible to add a site for chordians, where they show your face and guitars?

You could get a free BLOGGER account from google, and create a blog for your guitars - you can post text and pictures and you don't need any special skills or tools to do that. Or you could use a Picasa Web Pictures account, again from google, and set up a photo album. Its all free and easy stuff and hard to spam.
