Topic: VERY EASY TO PLAY: PINK FLOYD

At the beginning, I was convinced that playing "Pink Floyd" songs, most on my acoustic guitar, were almost impossible to play.
I was amazed that they used chords, like C, E, D , A, or some minor chords, like Am, Em.
I noticed it at first here on chordie, and it was, by playing-along with the song "MOTHER" , confirmed this: there chords, even songs are so simple to play.
Most of the PINK FLOYDERS , don't believe me when I tell that story. I couldn't believe it myself.

WHAT WAS/IS THE MAGIC TO WRITE SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL SONGS? .
- Chemistry?
- Arrangements?
- Producing?
The only fact I found, is the fantastic extra sounds they used, like a helicopter on their album
The wall.

They also used the helicopter sound on a track on Dark Side of the Moon they created with a synthesizer. I think it was "On The Run". If anyone has VH1 Classic channel always check out the classic albums, really good stuff. Dark Side of the Moon is on there and shows how they made the whole album.

I am glad that you wrote about the helicopter too. I have a huge installation. My old amp was a Pioneer (the srongest amp of that serie) and I like to see if it still works. The installation I use is 5:1 for my (too) big plasma television (50"). It is amazing ( a PHILIPS PIXEL 2 +) and was 3 times television of the year. I bought this when I had to stop working. Because I don't have a boss (or you can change this word in 40 different bosses, patients can be horrible, especially when it is Saturday or Sunday, they have to go somewhere, also in the week: the hairdresser, beauty salon, getting a tan, because that is more important... name it, you'll have it: EVERYTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN A DOCTOR) so I gave myself a present. But I was writing about that helicopter and my installation, having TWO Infinity's and 2 JBL , you hair an incredible surround. Take the WALL and it is as there is a helicopter flying in the room. Even when someone is knocking or a telephone is ringing, I opened at least a dozen times my door.
What both of us forgot to write: the intro of "money".
I think, USING ONLY A FEW CHORDS, they became so big, because the music was more complex than other groups caused by birds singing, helicopter and a lot more.
WHO CAN CLAIM THE CREDITS? Probably PINK FLOYD AS BAND, Producers, Soundengineers, the arrangements...
