Topic: screamin' and tube sreamers

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying an overdrive pedal. can anyone recommend a good make? also, what are these overdrives/tube screamers mainly intended to do?

while i'm on the subject of screamers, can anyone help me to get my guitar to scream <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile"> I can do it now and again but i'm not completely satisfied.

try boss sd-1 havent used one but i hear there good.


for screams first you need a lot of gain and a lot of volume


fret it anywhere but it works best on the 3rd string around the 7th fret for me.

use your neck pickup and pluck the string and immediately hit it with your thumb nail this produces the artificial harmonic


the bend it crazily and annoy your neighbors
