Forbidden Love

As I slowly lose sight of my life,
Every day grows longer than the last,
I sit here with many thoughts in my head,
A mix of feelings, some of joy, some of dread,The light draining from my soul
                                                           
All that is good in me is slowly eroding away,replaced by hate,
A hate for a sick society that categorises me and my actions,
Destroying my faith in myself,
Until I no longer know who I am,

Everything I love has been lost or taken,
Only fading memories remain as the darkness takes hold
I have nothing left and that's what you wanted,
But, One day I will return,
Burst back into life.

I will smile again.
