Guitar chord forum - chordie → Songwriting → what makes you click?
i was curious what makes people click on a song here? why do some get hundreds of hits and some only few? do you follow a certain person or is there something in the title that's makes you look at a post? I have my reasons just wondering what some others are.
Some times I just miss seeing them and they end up down the list of other posts so they get overlooked ,its the same with other post not just songs .
are you wondering about on the posting or on the songs that are on the search in the current lists here? (ie artist/title or singer/band)

I think title helps eg BEER always gets a good response!
I tend to follow people about 10 of you guys,it`s great to give others support.
There`s a bunch of people on here who never contribute,unless it`s to complain.

I always click on the regular poster's contributions. This is more like a conversation than a bulletin board, and they're a very knowledgeable and respectful group. My own growth as a guitarist has been helped greatly by the regular contributors, for which I'm very grateful.
I like to have a wander around the whole site, even the bits I have no interest in. Their are many things I don't understand, especially in the electric forum, but I have learned so much. For me the music theory, songwriting and acoustic sections have been invaluable. I don't know who invented Chordie, but I would like to say a big thank you.
Perhaps one of the more senior members would like to do an article on the founder/s of Chordie.

I think Roger Guppy is his main man,from what I know I think the admin is the founder and Roger has said he is doing the site as a hobby.
I pretty much open all the post in the song writing thread, when I first joined I went back through the older post but only checked out the post with a large number of responses. example this post already has more response than the last song I posted no song here just a question which I suppose acts as a conversation starter. I would have skipped over the song post and opened this one .
I don't have a specific reason or method - sometimes it's because something jumps out at me, but really, I've gone through most of the forum topics - even a great many of the older ones - because it's a very good site...

The guy we all can thank for Chordie existence is Mr. Per Egil Kummervold the creator and administrator of our great site. He assembled all the PunnBB code into Chordie and has maintained it ever since tweaking it when necessary keep it running smoothly as he can.
Roger is a founder moderator and the Mod's benign boss:) with a great deal of knowledge about Chordie and a all round nice guy.... 
I click on all the songs in the song writing section and read them and listen if a link is there. I don't always comment but do take an interest. There's a lot of lurkers out there but I guess that's the nature of forums...

This is a great idea, has great purpose, serves many appropriate venues, provides excellent musical advice, introduces new technologies, appeals to all ages and all levels, encourages international collaboration, creates friendships with no barriers of preconceptions or expectations, it is full of compassion and genuine concern for others ( even those you have never met) and quite honestly -the best reason - it is a lot of fun!
Thank you for this site, and thank you to all the moderators who keep it clean and worthwhile.
I am always interested in the comments of the contributors - and the fact that some many topics deal with stuff I had no idea about are discussed. There are so many leaders here that have a vast array of knowledge, that this is like having a reality encyclopedia available.
The friendliness of the participants is overwhelming, to borrow a line from an American frontier classic...... " seldom is heard a discouraging word" !
Again, my sincere appreciation to all who make this fantastic refuge from the real world possible.

On soundcloud I tend to follow people but on chordie the title will get me to click. A link to an MP3 is more likely to get me to follow as well.
