The last month I have only fixed bugs in Chordie. No new features have been introduced. Now it is time to plan for the next couple of months!
I have several ideas myself, but I really want to hear your opinions. Is there something that irritates you about how Chordie works? How can it be improved? Any features you want? Any bugs you want to be fixed? Now is definately the time to tell me.
the only thing i can think of right now is the voting sytem for the song books. Whenever someone votes that is the vote. It doesnt seem to apear to be done on averages of votes. i.e if I go in and gove mysefl one star, I will go to one star, the nI vote again and give it 5 stars, I will be a five star.
It doesnt really reflect on what people think, only the last person that voted.
apart from that, i love everything about the web site, no complaints from me.
oh yeah, one thing. I have 3 song books. when i want to add a song i can only add it to the book that i had opened last.
can we not have it if you add a song you can choose what book you want to put it in?

Thanks for the suggestions. Ill look into the songbook voting bug right away. Votes on your own book should be disregarded (thought it was?). Well, Ill fix it. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">

I have added a feature that should let you change what songbook you are adding the songs to.
I have enabled it... mainly for testing (It might still be a bit buggy).
Could you try it out?
I am working on your other request as well.

I tried it, still got a bug.
When I clicked to change book I got this:

yep that works, fantastic wee extra option there. One I have bee nthinking of since Igot more than one songbook. Makes it much easier now to save songs where you want them

upyerkilt, I found the bug that where causing the votes to be wrong.
This should be fixed now, and the voting should be more reliable. There are no longer possible to vote on your own songs, and only one vote for every user.
Please help improving the site by reviewing the songbooks.
I did also notice that the number of songbooks are huge (almost 400). It is starting to become hard to navigate. Any ideas about hoe this could be improved? Categories, filters, anything?
hmmm, maybe only allow one public songbook per person? That might not cut the numbers down so much though.
another way is only have songbooks public that have over 70 songs?. I see there are some songbooks with only a handful of songs on them and if more songs are not added to it then they are taking up space.
thats the only thing I can think of right now.
