Topic: It finally happened

My faithful battle tank of a laptop has quit working well enough to multitask.  Took it in and they could not find anything wrong with it.  started reloading all my stuff,, and it started doing the same crap.  SO it is now going to be tested out at running with my RP250.   Maybe if I don't over task it I can still use it for that and surfing.

Now looking at desktops.something with a heavy processor and lots of speed and memory smile  I may go for the custom build from the local shop.  Wall-Mart has a bundle of part for a gaming puter but its only 60 bucks  less than the one from the local shop.  Needless to say, I wont be doing any recording lately.

Dude, what was it acting like before it died?  Only asking because I dabble a bit in repairing these things.  Mostly to donate to school-kids whose families aren't well funded.  From Kindergarten on up you darn near HAVE to possess one and have internet access to keep up in the school system.

Anyway the symptoms might point to something easily fixed and you can possibly resurrect "old faithful" for a lot less than a replacement.

Year make and model is also helpful (like your car), some have known issues or weakness.

Beamer standard procedure would be too go get a 5 yr old kid too fix it,then go too a shop if they can't.

Good point Dino.

When we were 5, we were figuring out the best place to put the clothespin so that the joker made the best sound when hit by a spoke, or deciding if we could swing a bat better right or leftie.  These days kids are coding mods for World Of Warcraft pretty early...... ain't progress grand!!?????

I know they are smart but I could out shoot them with my bb gun or slingshot. or hitch up my dog too my red wagon and go for a ride.
