Topic: Thoughts on Glastonbury

Are any UK chordians going to Glastonbury this year? Never been myself,it can be difficult to get tickets. One of my sons went for a couple of years, he was in front of the pyramid stage when REM was on and said the atmosphere was great. I was tempted to try and get tickets when Coldplay were on the pyramid but didn't, when i saw how much it rained that weekend in 05 i was sooooooo glad i didn't bother.
I quite like the idea of 3 days of music but slightly not so keen on the mud and the toilets. There could be disasters for not so spring chickens like me. I had visions of taking a trip to the loo in the night decked out in wellies and mac in the pouring rain, then SPLAT-- facial mud masks take on a whole new meaning. Then theres the toilets themselves........ yes well, i won't go into that one! I might even find my way back to the wrong tent....... o, dear.. won't go into that one either.
So it's armchair and slippers and telly highlights ( which are always on too late )
Its interesting seeing the not so well known as well as the well known. I saw Damien Rice on the telly when he was there the first time on one of the small stages and hadn't heard of him. Soon after, he bought his debut album out which i really liked.
