Guitar chord forum - chordie → Other string instruments → Mandolin lacerates my fingers
Over the past couple of years Ive been trying to play a bit of mandolin and always found it difficult to press the strings down ,However today I tried a set of extra light strings .Much better and easier .Ive noticed on other forums guitar players complain of the same thing ,get a set of 9's on and you'll be amazed at the difference .
I have never tried out a mandolin,but I do hope to some day,glad you found some relief in lighter strings.
Dino its much better now and it sounds so much brighter
Hope one of these days I can try one I like the sound they but out.
