Topic: need songwriting help!

Hey all been awhile since I posted and as usual I need help haha.  I need lyric writing help.  Trying to write a Song for a particular girl but am having trouble expressing the words . I'm not so great at that.  Ib have a line I really like which is your more than just a girl in a dress.  Thinking about using that as part of the chorus. ? But if someone could help me with words it would mean a lot. Also need help with chorus . The progression I really likeis g bm c em. Dont know where to go from there. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

My recommendation is to make your song about what makes her more than just a girl in a dress to you...in your words, and don't make it too complex...the simple story songs are the easiest for people to understand. You want someone to hear it and be able to relate to what the word are saying, but you want them to relate to it with a tug of emotion if possible...with a thoughtful smile or maybe even a tear.

My advice would be, not to over think the lyics. Don't beat yourself up, just keep it simple and let the emotion come across in your voice.

do you have a tune for it?  If you email me and give me a bunch of adjectives that describe her and some more statements as to why you feel this way,, I will see what I can come up with to help you.  Jets an my self have been know to work out some pretty good stuff,, its time for me to return the favor.
