Topic: Senior Prank

The Chik-Fil-A in our town has a topiary cow statue in front of it.  The seniors at the high school stole the statue and put it by the high school's sign.  In "retaliation", Chik-Fil-A sent their cow costume guy over to the high school with lunch for the students who did it and the principal.  They took a bunch of pictures of the kids hugging the cow, and dancing around on the front lawn with the cow and put the pictures up on their Facebook page.  It was all very silly.

I like it when people don't go crazy over "youthful exuberance."  The Chik-Fil-A manager must have a sense of humor.

Re: Senior Prank

Good story.  Good clean fun means nobody was hurt and nothing was destroyed.  Chick-fil-A probably realized that by doing what they did they actually endeared themselves to the public and increased their business.  Smart move there.

The skeptical side of me is waiting for some idiot from law enforcement or a justice department somewhere to want to come in and prosecute the students for theft or vandalism.  Not sure if you need a complaining witness for those or not.  If so, and CFA is not complaining, they should be OK.

Re: Senior Prank

Yeah, if that were here in California the police would have been involved. It really sucks that cool pranks like that can't be pulled off without someone ruining it. Great prank tho!!!!!

Re: Senior Prank

There has been a couple of stories in the news about good senior pranks that resulted in complete over reaction by the administration.  In one, the seniors covered the entirety of the building with post-it notes.  They had consulted with the school janitor before doing it, and it was done with knowledge of a school board member.  In the "nothing broken and no one hurt" world,  a pretty good prank, well planned and well executed.

The school's response was to laugh and say "OK you clowns, you have an hour to clean it up.."

Oh wait, no it wasn't, it was to suspend the six kids involved and fire the janitor.  When 40 other kids protested, they got suspended, too.

I still like the bubble bath in the fountain at city square. Didn't know it would make  so many bubbles.

Re: Senior Prank

Variations on a theme. My daughter graduates from high school tomorrow (Saturday). She is the class president. For a prank, some students moved a large metal horse sculpture from the school's courtyard to the Principal's parking spot. While I don't think my daughter was directly involved it was LOL funny to me. I know the principal well and I could just see his face when he arrived.

This prank was a hat tip to the principal as he is well-liked and had asked that no damage occur or clean-up be required of whatever prank was proffered. I think they succeeded. For reference, two years ago someone put a dead deer on top of the covered walkway. No one understood this prank.

Perhaps the principal was concerned that he'd get a paper cut.  I can't speak to the issue of suspending people for expressing their opinions.  It seems the principal in that case was interested in demonstrating to the students an important lesson on civics regarding personal liberty and abuse of authority.

Lol...papercuts.

I sent that principal a nastygram since her email is public domain info. I won't repeat what I wrote here.
They seriously need to take the stick out.
