Intro
[Bb] [F] [C]
Verse 1
[C]Why must it be
That the [Bb]haves set destiny
And the [F]nots are pulled along in the [C]wake
And [ ]yet it seems to me
The [Bb]haves are in misery
And the [A]nots are happy with whatever they [Dm]make
[Bb] [F] [C]
Verse 2
[C]I must confess
I don’t [Bb]understand happiness
Or [F]how elusive it is for those with [C]more
The [ ]nots have more than less
And the [Bb]haves their life’s a mess
[A]Answers for the taking are ig[Dm]nored
[Bb] [F] [C]
Verse 3
It’s [C]easy to over think
It’s as [Bb]plain as the kitchen sink
[F]Something’s missing from the reci[C]pe
[ ]Find a way to link
[Bb]What can be gone in a wink
Or be [A]cursed in successful mise[Dm]ry
[Bb] [F] [C]
Verse 4
It’s [C]really no surprise
It’s [Bb]just our daily lives
[F]Secrets are out there to read for [C]all
If the [ ]haves open their eyes
And the [Bb]nots realize
[A]See that their forests are not so [Dm]tall
[Bb] [F] [C] [Bb] [F]
